Oh MR Intellectual, IF you would take the TIME to LOOK at where they are they are a good 15 FEET above the water. If YOU had ANY humanity then you should be there feeding them and handing out blankets. They hang out and get drunk and use drugs. I help people who are willing to help themselves. They are obviously NOT seeking anyone's help. You have work for them?

Unless you have a bed and a roof to offer them, leave them alone and stop bullying those who cant defend themselves. If you dont like the garbage, buy them a dumpster.
Kingston needs a warming center, and enough shelter beds to house those who are homeless. There should be no freezing and exposure deaths this winter. Class animosity towards homeless people should not be allowed to jeopardize anyone's life. This community's Christians, and those who have basic human concern for others can create a place for people to come in out of the cold and survive this freeze and the coming storms this winter.
the shelter on Thomas street has the beds. The warming center during the extreme cold nights is good, not just for the homeless, but for anyone who might need it. Sometimes lifes emergencies can put anyone in need. They are not hurting anyone by sleeping under the bridge. And as long as they don't harass or cause problems, leave them be. If they don't want help, you can't force them to accept it.
