One of many residences on Penn Lane and Newport that need the attention of Code Enforcement. There should be a way to ensure corrected issues stay corrected instead of needing to be continually reported.
Once a property has been abated, the process is much quicker when you call Code Enforcement directly and report it. I will forward this address for them to process. their direct number is (405) 793-5052. Please close the issue when complete. (dj)
I believe Bird Dog was stating a comment was making a comment on why code enforcement doesn't stay on top of issues and only working issues that are being reported or repeatedly reported? Why doesn't code enforcement ensure that reported issues stay corrected? I think that's what Bird Dog was indicating?
That is correct. Once a property is cited by Code Rnforcement, the problem is usually handled within a reasonable time. The problem recurs when the same resident does the same thing. Over and over.
There appears to be a total lack of respect and disregard for the Code Enforcement officials. Each subsequent violation should have a fine attached. Just my opinion.
The City of Moore has two Code Enforcement Officers who are required to stay within the States laws and guidelines as they oversee the maintaining of every property within our city limits. It is helpful when our citizens can be an extra set of eyes and are willing to call and send in notifications. Thank you. (dj)
