Proper visible lane markings or fluorescent/reflectors need to be put in. Numerous times while heading in either direction and being in either lane I have had to either swerve/brake suddenly/all out avoid traffic from the opposite direction because they are completely over the yellow ( more non existent) lane markings.
Why did they even put in the right turn lane ?? Drivers still use the forward lane to turn or completely fade into the traffic that's continuing forward.
Please can reflectors or reflective dashes be put in....??
Can the curb by biziks that juts out be trimmed back a little to make the turn lane more driver friendly???

Agree, the turn lane from blvd to schrage was poorly designed. People who do turn end up fading into the through traffic lane anyway especially when they are trucks/semis. Why was it even put in? It will cause a fatal accident and unfortunately only then will something be done.

Are the problems associated with your post on Indianapolis Blvd or Schrage? I ask because the title is the intersection of Indianapolis and Schrage. If the Blvd. is the problem it is a state road and they control the design and maintenance of the road. If the issue is along Schrage we will be happy to look at the problem. Well, if it is the Blvd and a state problem, who's responsible for getting in touch with them about this problem, the citizen reporting it or the city? Just curious.

Please do tell INDOT Indy Blvd is absolutely ridiculous and hazardous especially from 119th to Schrage. The lanes jig-jag and the markings are almost invisible at night.
