Just saw a car with Illinois plates that has a Whiting Lakefront Parking sticker in its window. I hope the people patrolling and ticketing are watching for this. The stickers are for purchase by Whiting residents who present a car registered in Whiting. These stickers are easy to remove and re-stick, so please be advised, or other out of town/state visitors will be trying to cheat Whiting out of its parking fees.

We do have the ability to track who purchased the sticker by the Sticker Number. In the future, if you could provide us with the Sticker Number we can address this more efficiently. Permit Stickers will be revoked if they are not properly affixed to the vehicle they were assigned to. Thanks again for bringing this to our attention.
