All along Main St in Malden on Hudson (a riverside hamlet of Saugerties) there are abandoned houses with uncut lawns that look deplorable. Many of these homes, once grand, are now falling apart and the building dept has put big red X's on the doors. The law says that the houses have to be kept up in front but this is not being enforced. There are also some houses completely falling apart that are not being looked after.

WE DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH HANDICAPPED PARKING TO BEGIN WITH AND NOW THE VILLAGE OF SAUGERTIES HAS REMOVED ONE OF THE SPOTS ON MAIN STREET. THAT LEAVES JUST ONE FOR THE ENTIRE STREET. NOT ENOUGH. APPARENTLY PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT HANDICAPPED AND HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE HANDICAPPED DID THIS. SHAME ON THE VILLAGE OF SAUGERTIES FOR REMOVING A MUCH NEEDED HANDICAPPED SPOT.

I had reported Herzogs, along with Benjamin Moore for selling a supposed no odor, no voc paint to a person with asthma and chemical sensitivity. At first they wouldn't help but after posting here they came through. This is a great site. The reason I posted on this site was to warn people about this paint so that they don't buy this product if someone in their family has a breathing disease. I also think that when a company sells something to our community and it harms them, they should stand behind remediating the situation. It took the pressure of this site to help them do that so the post was then removed..but I just wanted to thank everyone who offered support and suggestions and to let people know that if you advocate for what's right, you sometimes get results.
    Live healthy everyone!!!!
