Description
Every morning before 6AM they let their dogs out and one starts to bark when he wants to go in. They let him bark and bark and bark, sometimes for 1/2 an hour before finally letting him in. #1 this is cruel to the poor dog. If you don't want to let him in, don't have a dog. Secondly, it's so inconsiderate and rude to the neighbors. I work all week and would like to sleep in on the weekends and every single weekend I am woken up by the incessant barking before 6AM. Enough already. It's been going on for months.

From the Dog Officer on another thread.
Because this is a part time/on call position, I can not sit at a residence and wait for a dog to bark. If I proceed to knock on their door and write them a citation for the "excessive barking" by law, they will say "My dog wasn't barking", and I cant prove it. Please notify the Police Station when the dog is barking and someone will be sent out to speak with the owner or document the issue, it is then forwarded to me for follow up. This site is not monitored 24 hours a day so this is not the place to let us know the dog is barking now.
There's your answer. If the Dog Officer is not in due to being a part time employee, call the PD.
What are the Stoneham Dog Officers working hours so the residents will know they can call
