The owner continue to keep chickens. The rats are becoming more and more of a nuisance. We as home owners have spent $100’s of dollars to rid of them. We keep our lawn kept up and work on it daily. EVERYDAY there are new ray holes dug in our yard. MOST leading to or from the yard with the chickens. Please make these home owners liable!!! It’s not fair. It’s gross and the city is going to get worse and worse with rats like it was pre Covid. There is nothing more I can do on my end to keep them out of my yard. Everyday we are filling the holes in. EVERY SINGLE DAY. it’s not fair. It’s not ok. It’s gross. Please hold the owners feet to the fire. They have been talked to and I was told after the Fourth of July holiday the city would come back out. Well the owners still have them. Please. I’m at a loss. Called pest control to come out and was told there’s really nothing they can do they will keep returning. They want the chicken feces, food and eggs. HELP

On June 21, 2023 he spoke to R Harris, code enf , and the resident claimed he was taking chickens up north

I spoke to the female resident this morning. She admitted to still having chickens there (I did not see or hear them)
She stated that they are working on getting them up north and that they will probably be going this weekend??
If they don't comply I will need to get into someone's yard to see them personally in order to take enforcement action.

First and foremost THANK YOU for being so diligent and following up in such a timely manner. It lessens my frustration by just a tad!
What is the process after a ticket is written? Do they just keep getting tickets on a weekly basis or something if they don’t get rid of the chickens or does there come a time that they are forced to get rid of them in someway? Because to be frank, I feel like they think that this is a joke and they really don’t care what the city says. Almost making a mockery out of the city because they are above of law or ordinances. They are taking up time from you guys and destroying everybody’s property & yards around them. As we all know rats are very hard to get rid of and to control once they get to this point.
